POA

Q

My client does not want to sign the POA.  What do I say?

A

With all the issues going on at the IRS, ADKF has implemented a new policy of preparing a Form 2848, Power of Attorney (POA) for every client. This will allow us to pull transcripts from their database to verify income and payment amounts. Also, in the event of any IRS issues with your account, we will be able to quickly and efficiently represent you to resolve it.

The individuals that are listed on the POA are the CPAs/EAs in our Tax Controversy Department. They are specialists in handling IRS issues and are authorized to represent taxpayers before the IRS due to their licensing. The Form 2848 POA is restricted to representation before the IRS only. It is not honored for any other purposes.
