LOST IP PIN

My client has lost, or did not receive, their IP PIN.  What do I do?

Here is the link to retrieve it.  Please note that they will need to set up an IRS account and prove their identity.  This is NOT something you can do for them.

Do NOT simply paper file.

If you file your return without your IRS assigned IP PIN:

• We’ll reject your electronic return, and you won't be able to e-file
• We’ll subject your paper return to additional screenings to validate your identity, delaying any refund you may be due
